Skinny Italian Turkey Meatballs

What do you do when you have a free Sunday afternoon and two health-minded people? Well for us the only logical thing to do was to make an enormous batch of Italian turkey meatballs! These ones are super duper healthy, and while they take a little bit of time and effort to make, they are definitely worth it. You can find the recipe here. Also, I find that I sometimes struggle with maintaining my healthy lifestyle while cooking things that are “guy friendly”…this one clearly gets the male stamp of approval:

Enjoy! :)

Lost and (Nike) Found

Up until now I was pretty convinced that Pinterest was my new number one web destination (if you haven’t been, it’s genius)! This was until recently when I stumbled upon Nike Found, an awesome image blog which documents street style featuring Nike garments exclusively. The girls in these images rock, and really bring a new perspective to traditional sportswear. The timing for this is also quite perfect as I was just beginning to plan a trip overseas and have been facing quite the conundrum: how does one don comfortable footwear (aka. sneakers) and still look chic on the European streets? Looks like I have these ladies to thank for the solution! And which sneakers will I buy? Nike of course.

The (Run) Diaries

Let’s face it: running can get a little monotonous at times. This is why I decided to start my new series, The Run Diaries, where I essentially run around with a camera, snapping photos of interesting things I see along the way. I got so into it that I didn’t even feel tired by the end of my run! These photos were taken on a 10km jaunt through downtown Toronto, which is a pretty interesting place if you haven’t been. Recognize any of these spots? How do you spice up your longer runs?

Selfie taken at the start of the run – looking pumped!
